Chef Keyz is a Los Angeles based Producer, DJ, and Promoter. Whether he’s in the kitchen or the studio, he’s known to cook up heat. His focus is on helping hip-hop artists create real music from stale ideas so they can showcase their authentic talent.

Quickly gaining notoriety for his free beat packs circulating artists nationwide, he has begun to offer custom premium beats and one-on-one studio time. He currently uses Media City Studios in Commerce, CA as his center of operations, but he can quickly turn out even the most particular requests through digital methods worldwide.

His music consists of talented artists featured on his own beats, giving a diverse mix of styles and stories to be experienced. He focuses of using his production and audio engineering skills to truly bring the message of the song out so you can feel it through the speakers.

He’s built his following promoting incredible underground hip-hop shows through the Anaheim and LA areas, amassing connections with fans and artists alike. His OC Connect Hip-Hop Show has given a stage to countless up and coming artists, focusing on a love of hip hop, herbs, and the underground scene eventually leading to a career highlight of sharing the stage with Immortal Technique.

Even at a young age, music had a profound affect on Keyz that was hard to put into words. When he discovered his father’s keyboard, he began cycling through the beats, sounds, and notes with a deep sense of wonder. Even the most outlandish sound could inspire vivid mental pictures as his imagination ran wild. He followed this passion into countless music lessons through high school and beyond. It became clear very quickly that he was destined to make it a profession.

Blending his love for hip hop, reggae rock, metal, and jazz, his in-studio style focuses on reaching into eclectic samples for inspiration and crafting bangin hip hop beats that leave an impression. When he’s not cookin beats, you could hear anything from Incubus to Slipknot, Jay Rock to Curren$y, or Stephen Marley to Miles Davis blasting from his speaker system.

In 2022, Keyz took his career to the next level, searching for the most innovative artists in the country. His diverse styling can be heard in his complimentary beat pack called “The Bridge” as it reflects his ability to connect untapped talent with his signature sound. He continues to promote underground shows rooted in love for the craft, making every event fun, “well-fed”, and giving artists a platform to express themselves.
